Bloody Mary Chickpeas
WARNING, HIGHLY ADDICTIVE.
Ingredients
2 cans cooked chickpeas, rinsed and drained
If cooking your own, soak 1 cup for 12-24hrs then simmer with salt and turmeric powder. Far more delicious!
4-5 tbsp tomato puree
2-3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
Pre-heat the oven to 170C . Mix all ingredients thoroughly and spread out on a large baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes, remove and stir. Repeat this one or two more times until you have the desired crunch. I love mine super crunchy. The drier you make them, the longer you can store them.
To store, allow them to cool completely and place in a glass jar, cover with a cloth or if very dry seal with a lid.
Serve atop soups and salads or as a movie night snack
